NEON COLLEGE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM - FALL 2025
NEON is looking for outgoing, passionate, and communications-savvy college students to be our on-campus representatives for the Fall 2025 semester (September - December 2025). As part of our ambassador program, you’ll work collaboratively with the NEON team and other campus representatives at colleges across the country, organizing and executing a variety of outreach, marketing, and publicity strategies for NEON film releases. Those selected for this program will gain hands-on experience working in film marketing and distribution, as well as valuable connections and the opportunity to learn from NEON staff. At the end of each semester, ambassadors are given the opportunity to re-apply for the following semester.
This position pays $17.00/hour and requires a commitment of 5 hours per week
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Organize (free) in-theater advance screenings of NEON films for your student community
- Create promotional materials and implement marketing campaigns for your campus that focus on reach and publicity
- Engage multiple communities on your campus through social media
- Work with on-campus media outlets to secure coverage of NEON events
- Establish relationships with student organizations, local movie theaters, and/or theatrical programmers on campus
- Conduct outreach and promotional activities for NEON including on-campus tabling and swag giveaways
- Organize and execute guerrilla marketing stunts on campus to spread buzz and awareness about upcoming releases
- Occasionally manage check-in tables at local theaters to assist our Publicity team at press screenings & special events
- Occasionally complete reports on promotional materials and observe reactions to NEON trailers/films at local movie theaters

- b. Discuss a recent film NOT released by NEON that you believe effectively targeted college students through its marketing strategy. Explain why you think it was successful in reaching this audience.
- c. Share one out-of-the-box idea on how to engage your campus with NEON, either through a specific film released by NEON or by leveraging the overall NEON brand.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Must be a current undergraduate student (rising sophomore, junior, or senior) on campus for the entirety of the school year 2025-2026
- Deeply engaged in their campus community and well-connected across campus groups
- Social media / communications savvy
- Passionate about film with an understanding of NEON’s unique brand and how to promote it on their campus and in their local area
- Fun-loving and energetic self-starter
- Ideally has previous experience in event organization and marketing/promotion
