PROCESS CONTROL SPECIALIST – PRODUCTION ENGINEERING CO-OP

The successful candidate will be placed at the Motor Coach Industries (MCI) location.

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated engineering co-op student specializing in mechanical or electrical engineering with a background in statistical analysis. As a Junior Engineering Process Control Specialist, you will support Six Sigma and Red X initiatives, applying DMAIC methodology to improve processes. Responsibilities include data analysis, root cause identification, solution implementation, and contributing to design changes, testing, and process control improvements.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Support Six Sigma and Red X problem-solving activities.
• Apply the DMAIC methodology to improve engineering processes.
• Collect and analyze data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes and develop solutions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process control measures.
• Contribute to design changes and testing activities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Currently enrolled in a recognized engineering program and available for a co-op placement.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
• Experience in manufacturing and proficiency in MS Office is an asset.
• Familiarity with Unigraphics NX, statistical analysis software, or other design tools is beneficial.
