About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment, ensuring the quality of incoming parts through advanced measurement techniques and in-line quality inspections. This position requires a strong understanding of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), as well as direct experience with ensuring quality manufacturing of electro-mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities:

- CMM Measurement and Quality Control:

- Perform precise measurements of supplier parts to ensure compliance with design specifications.

- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards to verify part features and tolerances.

- Inspect and compare received parts to engineering drawings to document compliance or deficiencies.

- Identify and document any discrepancies in parts and communicate with suppliers or the internal team for corrective actions.

- Maintain accurate records of measurement data, inspection reports, and quality control documentation.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company-specific quality standards

- Conduct in-line inspections to ensure electro-mechanical assemblies are built to the highest quality standards

- Troubleshooting and root cause investigation of manufacturing quality issues of varying complexity

- Implementing quality control solutions within manufacturing production lines

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma plus 5+ years of experience; additional certifications in Quality Control preferred. College degree plus 2+ years of experience.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience with CMM operation and performing quality checks, including the use of GD&T

- Strong proficiency in operating CMM machines and interpreting measurement data.

- In-depth knowledge of GD&T principles and ability to apply them in a manufacturing environment.

- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and document deficiencies.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
