HR Specialist (Payroll & HR Services)

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional HR support and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to payroll? We’re looking for an HR Specialist who will play a key role in managing our end-to-end payroll processes while being the go-to person for employees and managers seeking guidance on HR-related matters from payroll and benefits to HR policies and day-to-day processes. • Responsible for end-to-end payroll management for the US region. Works to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues. Continuously looks into payroll process improvements. Educates employees and managers on payroll-related topics. Develops and maintains payroll-related process documentation and controls.  

• Works closely with HR Operations to ensure data quality in HRIS/payroll system. Maintains knowledge on the US-specific data and reporting needs and works with HR Operations to align on delivery for those needs.  

• Builds knowledge about HR policies, processes and operations at NORIT and provides information and advice to Managers, employees and members of HR community. 

• Operates as the first line support for the US region for HR matters. Escalates complex queries to responsible parties within the HR function.  

• Prepares, distributes, and maintains employee documentation according to US regulations and NORIT HR programs and processes. 

• Ensures compliance with country and company internal regulations.  

• Takes part in local or international HR projects.  

• Good practical knowledge of US payroll lifecycle (5+ years dedicated payroll experience preferred) and multi-state payroll experience.  
• University Degree or equivalent in Human Resources / Business/ Finance or another relevant field. 
• Working knowledge of Union payroll practices.  

• Ability to troubleshoot and escalate payroll issues.

• Strong data and analytics acumen, experience working with HRIS and payroll systems. 

• Desire to develop or continue growing in HR generalist space, supporting employees and Managers with HR queries. 

• Strong communication abilities and collaborative approach to colleagues.
