Remote Sensing & GIS Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Conduct remote sensing data collection and analysis using satellite imagery and aerial photography.
  • Create and manage GIS databases and utilize GIS software for spatial modeling and analysis.
  • Support project planning and development by providing geospatial insights and analyses.
  • Prepare technical reports, maps, and visual presentations showcasing geospatial findings.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate geospatial data into planning and analysis workflows.
  • Stay updated on advancements in remote sensing technology and GIS methodologies.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on GIS tools and data interpretation.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Geomatics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Remote Sensing & GIS Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools.
  • Experience with remote sensing software for image processing and analysis (e.g., ENVI, ERDAS).
  • Solid understanding of spatial analysis techniques and cartographic principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex geospatial information to diverse audiences.
