FAST Operations Intern (Unpaid)

ODK Media, Inc. is a media group headquartered in Fullerton, CA that provides access to premium international content through its owned and operated streaming platforms, including OnDemandKorea, OnDemandChina, OnDemandViet, and Amasian TV. It also distributes content to global streaming services, cable operators, and movie theaters, serving as the Asian media hub for AAPI communities across the country.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented FAST (Free Ad Supported Streaming TV) Operations Intern to support the operations and growth of our streaming platforms. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-growing sector of digital media. You will assist in various operational tasks, including content management, platform support, and performance monitoring, with a strong focus on efficiency and collaboration.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Channel Operations & Content Management
• Assist with the onboarding of streaming channels (e.g., setting up stream URLs, ad tags, and EPGs).
• Support content scheduling, metadata updates, and subtitle management.
• Perform quality checks to ensure smooth streaming and playback of content.
• Platform Support & Technical Operations
• Help organize and manage channel assets, including video files and subtitles.
• Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot operational issues.
• Ensure timely content delivery by coordinating with internal and external partners.
• Performance Monitoring & Data Support
• Track key performance metrics (e.g., viewer engagement and ad performance).
• Assist with compiling reports to identify trends and performance insights.
• Support growth initiatives to optimize content performance and audience engagement.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Current student or recent graduate in Media, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Interest in streaming media, digital entertainment, or television.
• Basic knowledge of productivity tools like Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Must be able to come in person to the Fullerton office.
• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English (preferred).
• Familiarity with digital media workflows (e.g., video encoding, metadata management) (preferred).
• Understanding of ad-supported streaming platforms (e.g., Tubi, Pluto TV) (preferred).
• Knowledge of subtitle formatting or basic data analysis (preferred).
