About our team
The Studio team at Okta is a growing group within Marketing, composed of creatives, strategists, producers and marketing managers alike. Our team focuses on leading the brand, telling powerful stories, and inspiring creative excellence. As a partner to cross-functional teams across Okta, we tie our goals to our most important company initiatives, driving towards shared KPIs, strategies, and processes to unify and push the brand and business forward.
About this role
The Studio is looking for a passionate (Sr.) Designer, Digital to join our Digital Studio team. You have a knack for creating innovative, product storytelling digital experiences. You love working with brand guidelines, design systems, and collaborating well with cross-functional teams to get projects launched. Reporting to the Art Director, Creative, you will work with UX, content, strategy, developers, and brand to deliver digital design solutions against the creative briefs. You will help to tell the Okta story on our websites, always advocating for the brand and meeting KPIs. This role will be instrumental in crafting innovative and smart solutions that meet the brief requirements and help us evolve our event-specific digital experiences and websites, including oktane.com. The right person for this role will be passionate for visual design and highly motivated to bring thoughtful ideas to the table.
What you will do
- Work closely with the Art Director, copywriting partner, and teams on conceptual ideation, content strategy, copywriting, and execution across digital creative briefs
- Clear understanding of project briefs and ability to craft thoughtful design solutions
- Articulate and present ideas in a clear and concise manner; accept constructive feedback and execute against it efficiently
- Ensure the consistency of the brand and the highest quality of design across all projects
- Natural curiosity and passion to learn about and share insights on design and industry trends
- Think big while operating at the lowest level of detail
Your experience
- BA or BFA in Art/Design or related field
- Extraordinary design skills
- World-class portfolio of work (required to submit)
- Strong communication presentation skills; proven ability to present to executives/leaders
- Highly organized and able to work collaboratively across multiple projects
- 5+ years of experience designing in a digital creative agency or client-side group; B2B / tech experience is a plus
- Expert knowledge of Figma
- Familiarity with Framer, and building prototypes
- Familiar with the creative process, partnering with UX designers, copywriters, web production, and development teams
- Experience with motion design, like lottie or other software is a plus
- Experience working in AEM is a plus
- Working knowledge of HTML, Javascript, and CSS is a plus

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.
