What are we looking for?

Would you like to analyze, write and execute test scenarios in an agile team? Do you see yourself as the quality link between development and smooth releases? Are you familiar with writing automated tests? Then this might be THE job that you are looking for!

As a QA Engineer you ensure the quality of what the team delivers. You are an integral part of the agile ceremonies of the team and have a good idea about what the team is building. Together with the product owner, you define the proper acceptance criteria and test strategy. Based on that, you will do a mix of manual and automated tests, where we count on you to automate the most relevant tests using Playwright.

You actively develop your knowledge of the application domains you are responsible for and furthermore participate in the User Acceptance Testing process from our business. You also work with our support team to follow up on business-critical issues.

You take pride in describing issues clearly and concisely, as well as providing the information needed for the team to tackle issues efficiently.

What will you do?

• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Identify root causes of problems in the production process; recommend and/or implement corrective measures.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Consult with internal teams (e.g., developers and managers) to identify system requirements.
• Track quality assurance metrics and stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Assist in Design, development and implementation of automation testing tools.
• Develop and execute manual tests to ensure product quality.
• Participate in review sessions and acceptance testing led by the Product team.
• Engage with development leads, and technical stakeholders to gain consensus in a cross-functional team setting.
• Test UI’s, middleware API’s and databases

Who are you?

• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance
• You like to work independently and know how to prioritize and work in a structured way
• You enjoy manual test execution and are familiar with SQL and scripting
• You know how to set up and start up a testing process
• You have expertise in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• You have worked in an agile environment
• You have experience with Playwright or other automated testing tools and principles (e.g., Page Object Model)
• You have a strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• You have knowledge of modern development and REST services
• MS Office has no secrets for you
• You have a strong analytical mindset with excellent communication skills
• You are fluent in English (written and spoken)
• You live in the surroundings of Tienen and are open to work at our office 3 days a week
