A premier provider of ABA therapy services dedicated to delivering exceptional care and ensuring optimal client outcomes, is currently looking for an RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) Specialist!
As an RCM Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the company’s revenue cycle. You will be an integral part of the team, responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate revenue cycle processes. Your key responsibilities will include managing authorizations, processing claims, and reconciling accounts, all while maintaining compliance and enhancing the overall efficiency of the RCM function.
Key Responsibilities:
Support efficient management of authorization workflows:
- Support in maintaining accuracy of data in the authorization spreadsheet.
- Submit accurate and timely authorization requests and appeals.
- Maintain authorization data in the RCM software.
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team to obtain and share authorization information.
Support efficient management of claims processing:
- Follow up on denied or unpaid claims
- Document claims follow-up process
- Accurately audit Central Reach data within weekly prescribed timelines.
- Update Central Reach to reconcile accounts
- Effectively communicate with families on patient responsibility.
- Identify and correct errors in Central Reach billing data
- Accurately apply payments in RCM software
- Contact insurance to follow up on authorizations, benefits eligibility, and submitted claims
- Generate and update spreadsheets with correct data as necessary.
- Support RCM team in developing and maintaining efficient processes
- Maintain compliant processes in all areas of revenue cycle management
- Support the maintenance of payer portals
- Accounts Receivables management
- Read and understand billing reports and spreadsheets
- Proven experience in revenue cycle management.
- Knowledge of US insurance is required.
- Ideally 5 years of experience in this field or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in accurate data entry and basic accounting principles.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Understanding of workflows, systems, and RCM processes.
- High-speed, reliable internet and a distraction-free work environment.
- Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance in a remote setting.
- Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Professional writing and communication skills.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn.
