Accounting Specialist - AP Focus

Seattle Chocolate Company is looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist, with a focus in Accounts Payable. The ideal candidate would have at least three years of AP experience in a manufacturing environment and be ready to learn more to expand their career in accounting.

Schedule and expected hours: This hybrid position requires on-site attendance for 3 days per week. Full-time at 40 hours per week. Flex hours Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm.

Compensation: $28.50-$30.00/hour, depending on experience.

Reports to: VP of Finance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gather supplier invoices digitally.
• Distribute supplier invoices for approval.
• Post and reconcile supplier invoices.
• Manage supplier monthly statements and keep accounts current.
• Assist with weekly check runs and ACH batches.
• Assist with monthly reconciliations.
• Maintain W-9s for new suppliers.
• Work in collaboration with other Accounting team members for backup and support.
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience/Skills:

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in AP
• Able to establish and meet work priorities
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Adobe skills
• Manufacturing experience a plus
• Food Industry experience a plus
• Ability to multi-task and communicate with all involved parties
• Dependable - reliable and punctual
• Detail-oriented
• Autonomous/Independent - enjoys working with little direction
