Senior Data Engineer

Payabli is a rapidly growing fintech company dedicated to simplifying and streamlining payment processing solutions for software companies.

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Data Migrations) who will be instrumental in ensuring seamless data transitions across various platforms and systems. You will collaborate closely with our Engineering, Product, and Infrastructure teams to design and implement robust migration strategies that fuel our next stage of growth.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: 5+ years of software development experience focusing on data migration, ETL pipelines, or data warehousing.
• Technical Skills: C#, Postgres, Javascript, Docker, AWS
• Analytical Mindset: Adept at diagnosing performance issues and devising efficient, scalable solutions.

• Migration Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive data migration strategies to support integrations and modernization projects, ensuring data integrity, minimal downtime, and compliance with industry standards.
• Technical Implementation: Create and maintain custom migration tools, scripts, and ETL processes that effectively transform and load data from legacy systems to new infrastructures or cloud environments.
• Performance & Scalability: Identify potential bottlenecks, optimize queries and data pipelines, and ensure high performance across all environments.
• Collaboration: Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Infrastructure, QA, and other teams to align data migration goals with business objectives and project timelines.
• Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce testing protocols, perform data validations, and ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
• Documentation & Training: Maintain clear, organized documentation of migration processes, workflows, and best practices; provide guidance and training to relevant team members.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging data migration tools, technologies, and best practices, and propose new approaches to enhance our data strategy.
