Senior Accountant

We’re looking for a talented Senior Accountant who is a true team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, a strong analytical mindset, and a problem-solving approach. The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing the full lifecycle of equity operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and seamless collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate currently has CPA license and is a hard-working self-motivated individual with strong Excel skills, who can quickly adapt and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This role will be based in our New York, NY office.

What you'll do:

  • Administer and manage the company’s equity compensation plans (e.g., stock options, RSUs, ESPPs), ensuring compliance with plan documents, company policies, and relevant regulations
  • Maintain accurate cap tables and manage equity-related transactions, including grants, exercises, and ESPP contributions
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Payroll, and external vendors to implement the company’s equity plan across new entities while ensuring compliance with local laws
  • Oversee SEC filings (e.g., Form 4) and equity-related disclosures in financial statements
  • Ensure equity-related taxes are accurately calculated, withheld, and reported, supporting complex tax calculations for relocated employees in collaboration with global payroll teams
  • Generate internal and external reports, and perform financial analysis of trends and variances
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as SEC regulations and IRS tax rules, for publicly traded companies
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and monitor expenses related to equity, revenue-share, and partner-fee arrangements
  • Assist with period-end closing processes (monthly, quarterly, yearly), ensuring all equity-related entries are recorded accurately in the ERP system
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, including proxy statements, and ensure timely filing of all required equity disclosures
  • Work closely with global finance teams to drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency across equity-related tasks
  • Document and perform SOX compliance controls and internal audits to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards
  • Support the company’s ongoing accounting and reporting requirements, including period-closing workflows, and ensure proper recording of related entries and accruals
  • Support the tax team with various calculations, including equity-related considerations such as Deferred Tax Assets (DTA)
  • Conduct financial analysis of trends and variances, preparing reports and presentations that provide actionable insights to senior management

What we’re looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA required
  • 2-4 years’ experience in equity administration or a related finance role, ideally within a high-tech or publicly traded company
  • Strong experience with equity management software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and communication tools (Teams, Zoom)
  • Experience managing equity compensation plans, familiar with regulatory standards and accounting principles related to equity – advantage
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work with multiple departments to drive results.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to independently learn and adapt to new tools and processes

In accordance with New York City Law, below is the annual base salary range for this position. Actual annual base salary is based on, but not limited to: experience, education, professional licenses, location and business needs. The position is eligible for health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k plan, paid-time off, and sick (and where applicable safe) leave. This position is also eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.

The annual base salary range for this position is: $100,000 - $120,000.
