Role Overview
The IT Specialist II plays a critical role in ensuring seamless IT operations for our local office and employees. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, providing top-notch customer service, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving process improvements. As a key member of the IT team, you will help identify and fulfill IT needs while supporting the organization’s mission to deliver exceptional technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address IT needs, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Provide high-quality customer service by responding to and resolving technical support requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex problems as needed
- Manage IT operations for the local office, including setting up workstations, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring seamless connectivity
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, implementing solutions to enhance IT efficiency and effectiveness.
- Document processes, solutions, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and team development
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, providing recommendations for tools and solutions to enhance IT capabilities
Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related field
- Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across hardware, software, and networks
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and principles.
- Experience with Office 365, Entra, Sharepoint, Okta, AWS, Powershell scripting, Automation, and AI preferred
