Business Development Representative (U.S. Based Consulting Firm)

Work Arrangement: Fully remote, with availability for meetings during EST business hours.

Job Type: Full-time, Independent Contractor

Salary Range: Competitive, based on experience and performance, with potential bonuses.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST or PST

Locations: Open to candidates globally who can align with EST/PST working hours.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Representative, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of the company by identifying and generating new business opportunities. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional passionate about building relationships and contributing to the company’s success in the financial consulting space.

Your Impact

Your efforts will directly contribute to expanding the client’s customer base, increasing sales pipeline volume, and establishing the company as a trusted partner in financial consulting. You will help secure key client relationships and ensure long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prospecting & Outreach:
    • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through email and LinkedIn outreach.
    • Research target companies and decision-makers to build a robust sales pipeline.
  2. Client Engagement:
    • Schedule and set up meetings for senior sales executives.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team on outreach campaigns and materials.
  3. Process Improvement:
    • Provide feedback on lead quality to refine targeting strategies.
    • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
  4. Onboarding & Development:
    • Shadow senior executives on client calls.
    • Familiarize yourself with company services, sales collateral, and tools.

Must-Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in consulting or professional services.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding lead generation and appointment-setting targets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging senior executives.
  • Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organized.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with financial consulting or professional services.
  • Multi-channel outreach experience (emails, LinkedIn).
  • Strong analytical mindset to provide insights on market trends.
