We are looking for a Driver, preferably near the Long Island, NY area. In this role you will be tasked with the following.
- Able to drive Vans (Ford Transit 350) and Box truck
- Ability to interact with office / clients / technicians / vendors when dropping off and picking up material
- Ability to navigate traffic/routes as it relates to provided daily stop schedules
- Ability to transport heavy tools/ladders/compressors/ motors
- Inclusive of handling nitrogen and co2 exchanges
- Available to work overtime on as needed basis (prior notice given)
- Detailed oriented (will need to inspect parts to insure correct parts delivered or picked up)
- Effective communication skills
- Handle deliveries in timely manner
- Maintain Van inventory
- Prior experience driving
- Team player
- Will to learn (following/implementing procedures) related to sending emails/attaching PDFs for signature of receipt for parts received or picked up along with pictures
- Willing to drive in and to/from city daily
- Work in warehouse when not driving (pulling material, etc)
What you will need to bring to this role.
Driver qualifications:
- Must have a valid/clean license with no infractions in last 2 years
- CDL a plus, but not required
- Must submit to a Background Check
- Must be able to drive a Box Truck and Sprinter type van (Ford Transit 350 extended)
- Must be reliable and able to work overtime including some Saturdays when required
- Must be willing to drive in and around the Tristate Area
- If unable to pick up truck @ 201 Grumman Road West in Long Island, must be able to find parking spot to park Van daily (PJ will provide/reimburse parking fee)
- Reliable people person
- Excellent Communication Skills Phone skills
- Will be required to send emails with pictures
- Non – Union Position
- 8am – 5pm (time could vary daily
- 8hrs starts at 1st stop
- Checkout Time is when truck is loaded or could be at last delivery stop (varies)
- Willing to Learn
- Will be required to work in warehouse when not driving
Pay Range
$20-$25/hour
