Fire Suppression Inspection Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Fire Suppression Inspections Technician to handle the installation, maintenance, and inspection of restaurant hood systems, vehicle suppression systems, and industrial dry chemical systems. This role is key to ensuring the safety and compliance of fire suppression systems in diverse environments.


Key Responsibilities:


-Conduct inspections of fire extinguishers and suppression systems for clients.

-Diagnose system issues, identify deficiencies, and maintain code compliance awareness.

-Inform clients on code compliance and manufacturers’ standards.

-Ensure all work aligns with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards 17, 17A, and 96.

-Assist clients with quotes, equipment layout recommendations, and follow up to ensure satisfaction.

-Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

-Allocate 25% of work time to Fire Extinguisher Technician duties.


Qualifications:


-Experience: 2+ years in suppression system inspection preferred.

-Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

-Licenses & Certifications: E4 Wet/Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishing Systems and ICC (FK), both required within 90 days of hire.

-Skills: Basic computer skills (Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple iOS, and Android).

-Driver's License: Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.


Physical Requirements:


-Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.

-Frequent handling of tools, equipment, and cabling.

-Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds.
