Job Title: Junior Game Animator / Designer

Position Overview
We are looking for a Junior Game Animator / Designer who is passionate about creating and refining gameplay experiences in Unity. In this role, you will collaborate with developers and other designers to enhance our current game projects, ensuring that animations and gameplay elements work together seamlessly. You will focus on creating dynamic, visually engaging animations and iterating on game features to deliver a polished and immersive player experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Animation Creation and Implementation
○ Develop 2D/3D character and environment animations using industry-standard tools (e.g., Maya, Blender, Spine, or similar).
○ Implement and refine animations within Unity, ensuring smooth transitions and optimized performance.
○ Collaborate with the art team to maintain visual consistency and quality across all animated elements.
2. Game Design Collaboration
○ Work closely with graphic designers and developers to conceptualize and refine gameplay features.
○ Assist in designing levels, puzzles, or interactive sequences that leverage your animation expertise to improve the player experience.
○ Contribute creative ideas to enhance storytelling, character movement, and in-game events.
3. Iteration and Optimization
○ Conduct regular testing of animations and gameplay features, identifying areas for improvement in quality and performance.
○ Optimize asset usage in Unity to maintain smooth performance on multiple platforms.
○ Collaborate with QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve animation-related issues and bugs.
4. Documentation and Communication
○ Maintain up-to-date documentation of animation processes and design choices for team visibility.
○ Present animation drafts, gameplay concepts, and design changes effectively to stakeholders and team members.
○ Accept feedback openly and iterate on assets and features as needed.
5. Team Collaboration and Support
○ Provide support to senior animators, designers, and developers by assisting with various tasks to meet project deadlines.
○ Stay informed about the latest industry trends and techniques in game animation and design.
○ Participate in team meetings to share ideas, progress, and insights that can help improve the overall game development process.
Qualifications
● Education: None - English Proficiency is a must
● Technical Skills:
○ Proficiency with animation tools such as Maya, Blender, or similar software.
○ Familiarity with Unity’s animation system (Animator, Animation Controllers, Timeline).
○ Basic understanding of scripting in C# for Unity is a plus.
● Portfolio: Demonstrable examples of animation work (student projects, personal work, or professional projects).
● Soft Skills:
○ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
○ Attention to detail and a passion for creating immersive player experiences.
○ Ability to adapt to feedback and iterate quickly
