Location: Richmond, VA

Pay Rate: $19.00 – $19.50 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Lead (Machine Cut) to oversee raw material allocation, monitor production workflow, and ensure quality standards are met. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient operations, providing feedback to supervisors, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a fast-paced food production environment.

• Oversee Production Workflow – Ensure a steady flow of products on the production line and verify employees follow proper cutting procedures.
• Quality Control & Compliance – Inspect raw materials and finished products for accuracy, sanitation, and compliance with GMP standards.
• Inventory & Documentation – Maintain organized records of raw product storage and finished product slot locations.
• Team Coordination – Provide feedback to supervisors on employee performance, estimated completion times, and workflow efficiency.
• Safety & Equipment – Operate pallet jacks (forklift certification preferred) and follow all warehouse safety procedures.

• Frequent lifting and carrying of boxed/bagged fruits and vegetables (up to 60 lbs repeatedly).
• Requires continuous standing for extended periods.
• Work environment: cold (36°F), damp conditions, 8-12 hours per shift.
• Repeated stooping, bending, and lifting as part of daily tasks.

• Basic math and literacy skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• At least 3 months of experience in food preparation/processing (preferably in produce).
• Pallet Jack certification (Forklift certification preferred).
• Basic computer skills (email, keyboard, mouse).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines under supervision.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience in food processing, preferably in the produce industry.
• Advanced knowledge of GMP and food safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently with moderate to limited supervision.
