Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Defense Attorney, responsible for representing insurance companies or their insured clients in legal matters related to claims and disputes arising under insurance policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception to resolution
• Conduct legal research on insurance laws and provide legal advice and strategies
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the state bar and eligibility to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
• Experience practicing law, preferably in insurance defense or general liability
• Strong understanding of insurance law, tort law, civil procedure, and evidence rules
• Trial experience with a successful track record of litigating cases to verdict
