Overview of the Role
• The Category Management Manager – Target role, will manage analytic projects from start to finish, supporting leadership on strategic initiatives, analysis, and reporting to presenting findings to clients. We will arm you with the best in market analytic skills and capabilities, through on-the-job coaching and structured training. You will also be given access to our full range of data and analytics solutions. We also have plenty of other data to quench your curiosity and wow our clients.
• Location: Hybrid – Eden Prairie, MN Office (2 days in office)
• Salary range range $65,000 – $75,000 based on experience, qualifications and skills
• 5-10% travel requirements to aid in client presentations

What You’ll Do at C.A. Carlin
• Coaching and developing an analytic team
• Maintaining and building an accurate, complete, up-to-date understanding of the market with insightful data and intelligence for the client
• Accountable for analyses, charting, and performing quality checks for analytic reports
• Assisting in developing analytical solutions, consumer insight recommendations, and developing questionnaires aligned with client goals and needs
• Ensuring timely and quality deliverables and services to clients
• Providing administrative and operational support in research projects
• Collaborating with the various internal teams for analytic projects

What You Should Bring to the Table
• Prior experience managing an analytic team
• Proven ability to consult with clients to influence thinking and direct a team in a similar direction
• 3+ progressive years of experience in analytics for a manufacturer in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or marketing analytics company
• Demonstrated expertise in translating POS data and analysis into relevant implications within the CPG industry
• Ability to build a rapport across functions and levels within an organization
• Experience with IRI/Circana or other syndicated data solutions is required
• Experience with PowerBI preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus
• Target experience highly preferred

• You’re able to interpret the data sets and present the results in a way that tells the ‘story’ of the data to a non-analyst audience
• You think critically, always questioning if something doesn’t line up as you expect and leveraging the curiosity to collaborate with your peers
• Have extensive Target knowledge
• Familiarity with statistical analysis programs such as PSS, Minitab, RStudio or other software applications like VBA, WinShuttle, Winautomation, or SAP
