If you have experience inventorying, pricing, and valuing personal property losses, we want to meet you.About the RoleAs aContents Insurance Claims Specialist , you’ll lead the inventorying, pricing, and valuation of personal property losses caused by fire, water, storms, theft, and other insured events.
You’ll work directly with property owners, helping them document and recover the value of everything from household goods to high-end collections — providing empathy, expertise, and advocacy when they need it most.
This is afield-based, client-facing rolesupported by our Melville, NY office headquarters.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct on-site inspections and detailed inventories of damaged or destroyed personal property
Research and assign accurate replacement values using specialized industry tools and resources
Collaborate with field adjusters, estimators, and claims managers to build comprehensive claims packages
Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients to gather information and explain the claims process
Prepare polished, professional contents reports for submission to insurance carriers
Stay current with industry pricing databases, trends, and valuation standardsIdeal Candidate ProfilePrior experience in personal property/contents claims adjusting, inventory services, or valuation consulting
Strong working knowledge of inventorying and pricing software
Familiarity with residential and/or commercial property claims
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple claims simultaneously
Professional, compassionate communicator — able to assist property owners during times of loss
Willingness to travel throughout NY and NJ to meet client and project needs
