Database Administrator - job 1 of 3

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Database Administrator to ensure applications remain scalable, reliable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Azure SQL Managed Instances for high uptime, performance, and security
• Perform database backups and restores, and participate in disaster recovery planning and execution
• Monitor database performance and collaborate with the Database Architect and Software Engineering for performance tuning

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, or related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or 3-5 years as a SQL developer transitioning to a DBA role
• Experience with Microsoft SQL server, preferably Azure SQL Database technologies
• Knowledge of database performance analysis tools and experience with SQL server installation and configuration
• Experience with scripting and automation in TSQL or PowerShell
