A reputable healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Virtual Receptionist specializing in Behavioral Health to enhance the patient care experience. This pivotal role is essential in delivering exceptional service to patients while managing administrative tasks related to behavioral health services.

As a Virtual Receptionist, the individual will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring their inquiries are handled efficiently and compassionately. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of behavioral health terminology and the ability to support patients with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

– Provide outstanding customer service to patients and families during telephone, email, and virtual interactions.

– Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups for behavioral health services.

– Obtain and verify patient information and insurance details, ensuring accurate data entry into the… system.

– Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide appropriate resources as needed.

– Facilitate communication between patients and behavioral health providers, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.

– Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

Requirements

– High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare or behavioral health preferred.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.

– Ability to empathize with patients and maintain a supportive environment.

– Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.

– Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

– 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or customer service role preferred.

– Knowledge of behavioral health terminology and services is a plus.

– Familiarity with insurance processes and healthcare regulations preferred.
