A company is looking for a Veterinary Specialist-3, Public Health Veterinarian.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for infectious disease preparedness, surveillance, and outbreak response
  • Lead state health department efforts in infectious disease prevention and response, focusing on zoonotic and emerging infections
  • Collaborate with various state and federal agencies, academic institutions, and local health departments to address public health challenges
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • Possession of a doctorate degree in veterinary medicine
  • Three years of professional experience equivalent to a Veterinarian P11 or two years equivalent to a Veterinarian 12
  • One year of experience equivalent to a Veterinary Specialist 13
  • Possession of a license to practice veterinary medicine in Michigan
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be evaluated on an individual basis
