NOC Network Engineer II – Night and Evening Shift

Description
We are now seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join our team as a Network Engineer II working remotely as part of our NOC team. Responsibilities & Duties
• Proactively monitor and maintain customer network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network and server problems.
• Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Perform routine maintenance and software upgrades on customer equipment.
• Serve as an escalation point for Network Specialist/Engineer I.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Lead meetings with NOC customers.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained on tickets.
• Ensure timely updates and responses to tickets.
• Assist in developing and training on NOC processes and procedures.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
• Work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation.
Qualifications
Education:
• A bachelor’s degree in computer/management information systems, engineering, computer science, or equivalent is required.
• Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requiring a high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
• In-depth knowledge of Ethernet switching, IP routing, VoIP, and networking principles.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operating, troubleshooting, or designing Internet Service Provider Networks.
• Industry-relevant certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Adtran, Calix, MEF, etc).
• Strong understanding of multiple ISP broadband and core technologies (Adtran, Calix, Cambium, Juniper, Cisco, Ciena, Arista, etc).
• Proven ability to lead meetings with customers.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information
Work Schedule:
• Full-time, non-supervisory.
• Specific shifts may vary, but the night and evening team is generally scheduled between 6 PM and 8 AM Central time and operates seven days a week.
• On-call required.
