Outpatient Coder with CPC Certification

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder Outpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract, code, sequence, and interpret clinical information from various medical records
• Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes with accurate sequencing
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure confidentiality of patient records

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
• Minimum of 2-4 years of current production coding experience in acute care
• Experience with Cerner and 3M software
• Must hold relevant coding certifications such as CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCS-P
• Experience in outpatient surgery coding preferred
