Sentara is hiring a Temporary Customer Service Representative for the Laboratory Billing Services Department.
• Estimated 3-4 month temporary assignment.
This is a Temporary full-time day shift position Mon-Fri between the hours of 8:00am-5:30pm.
This position does not offer Benefits and applicants must reside in Virginia only.
The rate of pay is set at a flat rate of $20/hr.
Responsible for all areas of customer service as it pertains to research and resolution of telephone inquiries from members or patients. Primarily responsible for handling incoming calls to effectively address issues related to either member eligibility, plan prescription benefits, and claim payment issues or patient services needs such as updating billing information, establishing payment plans, resolving payment inquiries, or patient scheduling. Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.
Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
• Two years of Customer Service experience. Experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician’s office setting, specifically Laboratory preferred
• Experience registering patients preferred
• High Volume call center experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Data entry skills
