About the position
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the 1st Shift Warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient operations in the building and loading of orders onto delivery trucks. This role emphasizes adherence to safety protocols, training of staff, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
• Lead and assist Warehouse personnel in building and loading orders onto delivery trucks.
,
• Ensure the oldest product is used first (FIFO).
,
• Verify staged orders for accuracy.
,
• Receive incoming freight and check the condition and accuracy of shipments.
,
• Assist in training warehouse personnel on department procedures.
,
• Ensure all procedures, SOPs, GMPs, and safety rules are consistently followed by all employees.
,
• Audit warehouse aisles daily for cleanliness and racking issues for damage.
,
• Help maintain plant security in the absence of the Manager.
,
• Operate and coordinate distribution of Back door sales.
,
• Be available for after-hours and weekend on-call duties.
,
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED.
,
• Valid NC Driver License.
,
• At least 6 months experience working in a warehouse distribution environment.
,
• Ability to lift 40 pounds occasionally.
,
• Ability to lift 30 pounds over shoulders occasionally.
,
• Ability to lift CO2 cylinders occasionally (up to 55 pounds).
,
• Ability to push/pull product occasionally.
,
• Ability to walk/stand at least 8 hours daily.
,
• Ability to obtain forklift license and operate manual/power pallet jacks, floor scrubber, and other warehouse equipment.
,
• Maintains a professional relationship with co-workers, customers, and the public.
,
• Must adhere to all safety programs and maintain confidentiality.
