Job Description

To help continue our rapid growth and solve our clients’ toughest problems, we need an Enterprise Application Manager to join the team in Fort Wayne, IN.  This role, reporting to the Director of Dedicated Delivery, combines technical, managerial, and strategic responsibilities.  You will be responsible for leading a team of developers, DBAs, analysts, and support staff to deliver scalable, reliable software for critical operations and geospatial (GIS) functions.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and effectively manage work priorities. This role partners closely with business relationship managers, GIS coordinators, and technical leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

A day in the life of this role includes the following:

  • Provide amazing support to our clients, greatly exceeding their experience of what anyone else has ever done for them
  • Develop, coach, and lead a team of amazing people and ensure a high level of customer service
  • Work closely with the enterprise infrastructure lead and cybersecurity engineers to ensure that the test, development, and production environments, as well as change control procedures, meet compliance requirements
  • Develop and maintain the application portfolio of the enterprise, including lifecycle management of the portfolio
  • Provide escalated support for application integration, development, and end-user needs
  • Present weekly status reports, roadmaps, and RCAs to stakeholders
  • Control the flow of work and resources required for application development
  • Work with BRMs and project managers to support the lifecycle of a project; including scope creation, WBS, timeline, etc.
  • Work with the service delivery manager to perform root cause analysis and resolve recurring application issues

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer service skills, both written and oral
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is highly preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in application management, IT administration, or software development
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • A proven ability to lead, coach, and develop both remote and onsite technical teams
  • Strong working knowledge of database management, including SQL and PostgreSQL
  • Tenured experience in application development using Python and .NET technologies
  • Tenured experience with application development, integration, and lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • The ability to perform incident management for break/fix tickets
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must live within the greater Fort Wayne, IN area and be willing to work onsite at least 2 days per week

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with ArcGIS for application development and GIS integration
  • Experience in IT security methodologies, such as secure code practices, secrets management, access controls, build & deployment processes, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms such as PowerBI or Tableau
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and low-code/no-code solutions
  • Training or relevant certifications such as Scrum, PMP, ITIL
