Law Firm Finance Manager

Location: Woodland Hills, CA 91364

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $50,000-$80,000, Dependent on experience in law firm finance, including contingency-based accounting.

We are a fast-growing law firm specializing in Lemon Law and Personal Injury and are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager to take full ownership of our firm’s financial operations. This is a key leadership role for someone with strong law firm accounting experience, particularly in contingency fee structures and hourly billing. The ideal candidate is experienced in QuickBooks, highly organized, and ready to step into a role currently handled by the firm’s owner.

This position will work closely with leadership to ensure the financial health of the firm, oversee accounts payable (currently supported by one team member), and bring strategic financial oversight to day-to-day operations.

Manage and maintain all financial records using QuickBooks

Handle bookkeeping, invoicing, bank reconciliations, and deposit tracking

Confirm and categorize firm expenses monthly

Oversee all contingency-based and hourly billing revenue tracking

Prepare monthly financial reports and present financial consultations to the owner

Reconcile end-of-month reporting for Lemon Law matters (hours worked vs. revenue received)

Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team member to ensure timely vendor payments

Monitor case-specific financials and provide insights into profitability and expense trends

Implement and maintain financial systems and processes to increase operational efficiency

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

3+ years of experience managing finances in a law firm or similar professional services environment

Expert-level QuickBooks proficiency (Online and/or Desktop)

In-depth knowledge of contingency fee structures and hourly billing

Strong understanding of general accounting principles and month-end closing processes

Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to commute and work in-office at Woodland Hills, CA 91364 (Required)
