What's the Short Version?
The Supervisor, Credit Training combines responsibilities in training, supervising, and supporting the Credit teams, promoting team unity, consistency, and development across the department. They oversee the training efforts for new hires, ensure ongoing skill-building for current Credit team members, and support process management initiatives that foster high performance and adherence to policies. Additionally, they collaborate with Credit trainers to streamline processes across the department, enhance training tools, and support cross-departmental projects with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and adherence to SanMar Family Values.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Lead AR and Credit team training, ensuring consistency in processes and policies across all roles, including AR, Credit, Resale, New Accounts, and Cash Applications.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including initial paperwork, time clock system setup, attendance policy review, IT setup, and interdepartmental meet-and-greets.
- Oversee training on essential functions, such as AR and Credit processes, communication, customer service, and role-specific tasks.
- Oversee Confluence documentation, ensuring process manuals and training materials are current and accessible.
- Partner with QA, AR Specialists, Supervisors, and Project Teams to create refresher training sessions and materials for ongoing development and new project rollouts (e.g., Adyen, ECMPro, HRC).
- Improve training tools and explore new platforms to unify and enhance department-wide training efforts.
- Evaluate team members’ productivity and time management to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Be available and approachable to staff, touch base weekly to provide direction and assistance to team members, support their goals and is available for team member feedback.
- Prepare and communicate regular performance evaluations including annual reviews with team members.
- Evaluate the consistency of department metrics, collaborating on performance measurement and forecasting for all roles.
- Actively collaborate with department leadership to set goals, track performance metrics, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Assist with various departmental projects as needed, using a proactive approach to anticipate needs and manage tasks.
- Act as a point of contact for all teams, providing feedback and facilitating communication across AR, Credit, Resale, New Accounts, and Cash Applications.

What Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 4-6 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable department
- Demonstrative of outstanding customer service skills and an understanding of SanMar’s commitment to customer service
- High level of competency with PC and software applications
- The ability to communicate effectively individually and lead a group
- Must be able to work as part of a team, self-directed and with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates strong negotiating and decision-making ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Communicate with diplomacy and empathy and with the ability to diffuse stressful situations by demonstrating patience and understanding
- Excellent time management skills
- Demonstrates a positive and professional demeanor and approach
What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $32.56 - $43.27 (WA, NJ); $29.96 - $39.81 (MN, NV, TX, VA); $28.00 - $37.21 (AZ, ID, FL MT, OH, TN) on an hourly basis, depending on experience.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions. SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
