Job Description

SGS is seeking a results-driven and collaborative Mid-Level Marketing Manager to support marketing operations within our Oil, Gas, and Chemicals division. This role will focus on executing digital marketing campaigns, content development, event planning, budget management, and analytics to support the sales team and broader business goals. The position will work closely with the SGS regional marketing management team and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with the SGS North America marketing team to develop and execute digital marketing strategies (including digital advertising, paid media, email marketing, and social media).
  • Monitor and drive engagement across SGS social media channels through compelling content and active performance tracking.
  • Track website traffic and lead conversions using platforms such as Google analytics.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of digital marketing and communications initiatives.

Content Development & Management:

  • Develop and manage marketing content tailored to SGS services, including blog posts, white papers, brochures, sales presentations, video scripts, and landing pages.
  • Align content strategy with sales objectives and ensure technical accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Maintain marketing events and posting schedules, ensuring timely review and distribution across relevant channels.

Event Planning & Sales Enablement:

  • Coordinate SGS participation in industry trade shows, conferences, webinars, and customer events.
  • Manage logistics, promotional material development, pre-event marketing, and lead capture strategies.
  • Provide post-event reporting and analysis to evaluate ROI and lead follow-up effectiveness.

Marketing Budget Oversight:

  • Manage and monitor the marketing budget for the oil and gas inspection division.
  • Track expenses, ensure cost-effective execution of campaigns, and provide regular budget performance updates to management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as the marketing liaison to the SGS Oil & Gas sales team, supporting tactical campaigns and field-specific initiatives.
  • Align with global SGS marketing guidelines and brand strategy, ensuring consistency in messaging and visuals.
  • Contribute to internal communication plans and assist in launching new services or updates across relevant teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B marketing experience, preferably within oil & gas, energy, or technical services sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, CMS platforms, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce technical and promotional content.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Self-starter with excellent engagement skills to drive marketing initiatives.
  • Experience working within a matrixed or multinational environment, ideally in a company like SGS.
  • Understanding of oil & gas industry terminology and marketing regulations.
