We are looking for a sales representative who can aggressively grow business and gain market share in their assigned territory by prospecting, recommending, and promoting innovative products that enhance the manufacturing process. The person we are looking for will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. You must learn quickly, possess strong negotiating skills, and showcase our offerings compellingly in presentations, networking events, and trade shows. Finally, you must be personable, professional, and driven.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a network of sources to continually generate new sales leads
- Demonstrate how our recommendations support relevant business needs, improve productivity, and reduce costs
- Manage relationships and ensure satisfaction by effectively communicating and responding to needs and requests
- Confirm customer expectations are met after products or services are delivered
- Keep detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, sales, losses, or customer issues
- Provide territory sales forecast
- Deliver excellent internal and external customer service
- Perform other duties as assigned
- A degree in marketing, business, or a related field, a minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience with a demonstrated knowledge or interest in learning about cutting tools, abrasives, and MRO products
- Able to work from a home office, travel up to 50% of the time, and stay overnight when needed
- Exceptional sales and negotiating skills, analytical thinking, and ability to problem-solve
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software or related software
- A valid driver’s license, the ability to drive, sit, or spend extended periods in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift to 25lbs at a time
- Successfully pass our standard background check and drug screen
