About the Job:

  • SmartAsset is looking for a highly analytical and revenue-driven Senior Manager to lead and scale profitable direct-response ad campaigns across Programmatic and Native platforms, including but not limited to DV360, Yahoo DSP, The Trade Desk, and Dianomi.
  • This role requires an expert performance marketer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience managing large-scale campaigns in programmatic display and native advertising. You will own ROI-positive outcomes, oversee multi-million-dollar budgets, and work across internal teams in data science and engineering, as well as collaborate with ad platform reps to maximize efficiency, profitability, and lead quality.
  • We are seeking someone obsessed with performance optimization, who thrives in data-driven environments and has a deep understanding of consumer psychology to craft winning strategies that drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Own programmatic and native campaigns—from strategy and execution to continuous optimization and profitability management.
  • Manage and scale media buys across Yahoo DSP, The Trade Desk, Dianomi, and other platforms, ensuring efficient spend allocation and ROI-driven decision-making.
  • Drive experimentation across bidding strategies, audience segmentation, creative variations, and landing page optimizations to unlock new revenue opportunities.
  • Leverage large data sets to conduct deep-dive performance analyses and extract actionable insights to improve CVR, CPA, ROI, and lead quality.
  • Establish and refine forecasting models to predict spend, performance, and revenue impact.
  • Work cross-functionally with data science, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure proper tracking, attribution, and reporting.
  • Optimize deal structures, including PMP and Programmatic Guaranteed buys, to secure premium placements and inventory.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging ad tech solutions to drive innovation in programmatic and native advertising.
  • Own high-impact campaigns with significant revenue-driving potential.
  • Collaborate with a talented team of marketers, engineers, and data scientists.

Skills/Experience you have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on buying experience in programmatic and native advertising (Yahoo DSP, The Trade Desk, Google’s DV360, Dianomi, Outbrain, or similar).
  • Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar budgets and delivering ROI-positive results.
  • Deep expertise in performance marketing metrics (CPA, CVR, ROAS, LTV) and how to optimize against them.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, Tableau, Looker, or similar analytics tools.
  • Technical fluency in ad tech, tracking mechanisms, and bidding strategies.
  • Passion for consumer psychology and the ability to craft compelling campaigns that drive engagement.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, data-driven environments, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing budgets and hitting financial targets, revising forecasts where necessary, and updating leadership.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
  • Must be able to communicate via phone calls and/or video conferences (mainly for concierge and sales roles)

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, Rhode Island, Washington, and New York City residents* Salary Range: $113,500 - $185k Base + RSUs + benefits.
