•Prepares and performs specific development programs for customer driven Dry Gas Sealing applications, which includes but is not limited to Develop plans, Test specifications, Design generation, Qualification testing, and Report Generation.
•Provide technical input and guidance to projects with respect to the design, performance, procurement, manufacturing, and testing of Dry Gas Sealing products for the turbomachinery equipment.
•Prepares correspondence and technical engineering reports in connection with the projects.
•Utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to produce 3D models/assemblies to analyze product performance (i.e. finite element analysis)
•Support troubleshooting problems to product performance or production difficulties.
•Perform and/or monitor tests to validate actual results with those from theoretical analysis.
•Independently upskilling knowledge on topics related to assigned projects.
•Project manage development programs to plan and budget.
•Perform and monitor testing of seal designs, whether as part of product development or for customer-specific tests.
•Detailed technical presentations to customers to support sales and training initiatives.
•Perform mechanical design (CAD) and Finite Element Analyses (FEA)
Train new/Junior Engineers with Engineering tasks
•Working knowledge of CAD, 3D modelling & 2D drawing.
•Strong FEA skills
•Outstanding creativity, vision, and problem solving.
•Ability to work hands on.
•Communication skills to collaborate within the team and provide feedback to stakeholders
•Ability to self-manage projects ensuring on time delivery.
