Job Description

Provide strategic leadership and direction for a team of Global Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) who are tasked with managing and nurturing relationships with key end-user accounts. This role is pivotal in ensuring that John Crane effectively aligns its offerings with the long-term needs of its most critical customers, fostering a partnership that drives mutual growth and success. The Senior Manager for Global Accounts will lead a specialized team of Senior Account Managers (SAMs) to drive the growth and development of our strategic accounts. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong commercial acumen, capable of fostering relationships, and ensuring the highest quality of service delivery.

  • Lead, coach, and guide the SAM team, maintaining regular contact to support their performance against agreed objectives and KPIs.
  • Drive the consistent use of technology to ensure SAMs complete system updates and critical tasks related to data and KPIs.
  • Ensure that Account Plans are developed and maintained in the CRM, effectively communicating these plans to all stakeholders and planning resources and activities accordingly.
  • Oversee the tender and quotation development process, ensuring the availability of resources for high-quality submissions through the finance management process.
  • Create global market intelligence to support strategic discussions within John Crane.
  • Develop the long-term frame agreements with all global strategic accounts. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering or Business discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of10 years leadership industry experience required in a multinational environment.
  • Experience in people leadership skills with a proven track record required. 
  • Be commercially astute and have a good understanding of tenders, signing long term agreements (GFA, FA) contracts, negotiations, high margin / profitability achievement as well as the requirements for high quality customer service.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse stakeholders in a global organization is preferred.
  • MBA degree a plus.
  • Experience in the energy industry (oi and gas) preferred.

Travel: This role requires up to 30% travel globally.
