About you and the role

One of the critical drivers of Zipline’s ability to scale across Africa is our ability to provide our government partners with innovative financing options to support the initial deployment of our life-saving drone-logistics infrastructure. We are seeking a proven resource mobilization leader to deepen and expand our partnerships in the development world. As a member of the Development Partnerships team, you’ll develop and execute a strategy framed around creative innovative financing solutions in conjunction with partners, raising funds from development agencies, and expanding existing partnerships across the African continent. A strong candidate for this role will bring an entrepreneurial mindset, experience working with executive-level stakeholders, an ability to drive complex work streams while supporting others, and a passion for enabling the development world to innovate their financing methodologies to support proven, high impact, disruptive technologies.

What you’ll do

  • Build strong and lasting partnerships with leaders at development institutions that drive a spirit of co-creation and result in capital allocation to Zipline infrastructure build-out across Africa.
  • Partner with company leadership and development partners to create innovative financing models that support African government launches of the Zipline logistics ecosystem 
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and Monitoring & Evaluation teams to develop compelling materials, participate in speaking engagements, and broadly communicate Zipline’s work and value proposition to development partners and related audiences 

What you’ll bring

  • 8+ years of experience mobilizing resources with development partners
  • Track record of owning and driving account growth over time
  • Experience selling complex, high value products or services preferred
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced strategic and project management skills
  • Collaborative approach to sales and customer success that includes working with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Inherent self-motivation, adaptability, and creativity
  • Fluency in English; fluency in French a plus

Ability to travel: Up to 50%
