Job Title: Forklift Driver I

Job Location: Altavista, VA, U.S.A. 24517

Job Type: Contract (possible extension or convert to hire)

Pay: $16.00 an hour

Shift Structure: ONSITE, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

The role of the Forklift Driver: 

• Operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklifts, elevating platforms, or buckets to aid in loading and moving materials.

• Safely and efficiently transport materials to designated areas within the facility.

• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklift equipment and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

• Assist with other tasks within the warehouse or production facility as needed.

About the Forklift Driver: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 0-1 years of previous experience operating forklifts or similar industrial equipment.

• Valid forklift operator certification preferred but not required.

• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
