SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is one of the largest Dutch, development organisations with operations in more than 25 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. SNV aims to lift up incomes and access to basic services. We make a lasting difference in the lives of people living in poverty, helping them raise incomes and access basic services. Driven by the Sustainable Development Goals, we are dedicated to a society in which all people are free to pursue their own sustainable development, and no one is left behind. This commitment to equity directs us to focus on gender and youth.
We apply our know-how to realise effective solutions and deliver results at scale worldwide. We do this through our local presence and our specialised expertise in agri-food, energy, and water. Our projects directly benefit millions of people. At the same time, our projects drive systems change, which helps many more people work their way out of poverty, well beyond the scope of the projects themselves. We are proud to be a not-for-profit organisation, implementing our mission exclusively through project financing. This requires us to work efficiently and to invest in operational excellence every day.

Background and objectives of the assignment
The Global ICT Team is responsible for maintaining and supporting the global ICT landscape. SNV has transitioned fully to the cloud in the past 10 years and leverages Microsoft 365 as its corporate digital platform for communication and collaboration in the day-to-day work as well as various business specific cloud solutions. Underpinning our cloud business applications portfolio, we have developed a layer of business process automation (BPA) using PowerShell technology consisting of 100+ components. This BPA layer is a critical part of the corporate ICT landscape.
Next to the responsibility of supporting and maintaining the ICT landscape, the ICT team is also supporting many business projects with procurement, design, development, implementation, data migration of new systems and ICT solutions.
It is a given that technology product roadmaps continue to evolve. Given the small size of the ICT team and the breadth of responsibilities and work, the team is facing a large backlog of technology components and solutions that need to be replaced, upgraded and improved. As such, an investment project has been approved to fund the backfilling of the 2 ICT officers to free up capacity to start addressing the backlog.
Objectives of the assignment: the primary goal of the assignment is to perform daily user support, handle user requests as well as troubleshooting and issue resolution. This will be predominantly related to our Microsoft 365 environment. Support for specific business applications will continue to be managed by the SNV ICT team.
