Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Communications Manager with a strong focus on copywriting, content performance, and vendor management. This role requires a creative thinker with exceptional organizational skills to manage complex workflows, meet deadlines, and deliver impactful content that drives engagement and achieves measurable results. 


Role Overview
  • The Communications Manager will oversee the creation, execution, and performance of content strategies across various channels. This includes writing high-quality copy, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring all projects are delivered on time and aligned with Spear’s brand standards. The ideal candidate will excel at juggling multiple priorities, organizing detailed plans, and delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines. 


Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation & Organization 
  • Write, edit, and proofread engaging, clear, and concise copy for social media, newsletters, website, print collateral, and internal communications. 
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive content calendar to align with marketing campaigns and organizational priorities. 
  • Organize and streamline workflows for content creation, ensuring all projects meet deadlines and align with Spear’s editorial standards. 
  • Vendor Management & Collaboration 
  • Coordinate with external vendors, including writers, editors, and creative agencies, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content. 
  • Review and provide detailed feedback on vendor-submitted work, ensuring consistency with Spear’s brand voice and messaging. 
  • Proactively organize and manage vendor timelines, budgets, and deliverables to maximize efficiency. 


Campaign & Content Strategy
  • Plan and execute multi-channel content campaigns, prioritizing key organizational goals such as recruitment, brand visibility, and audience engagement. 
  • Monitor content performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet business objectives. 
  • React to trends and audience feedback, implementing changes to optimize campaign results. 


Asset Management & Optimization
  • Maintain and organize Spear’s photo and video library to ensure easy access and maximum value. 
  • Oversee website content, blog posts, and SEO-optimized copy to enhance digital performance and audience engagement. 
  • Develop and refine collateral materials, including niche pamphlets, pitch decks, and event collateral. 


Public Relations & Media Relations
  • Draft press releases, media statements, and talking points. 
  • Organize and execute PR initiatives, building relationships with journalists and media partners. 
  • Identify and capitalize on media opportunities to enhance Spear’s visibility and reputation. 


Qualifications
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and ability to streamline workflows. 
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an emphasis on clarity and engagement. 
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, including timelines and deliverables. 
  • Proficiency in tracking and analyzing content performance metrics to drive results. 
  • Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing principles. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
