RingCentral Engineer

Objective and Purpose:

We are seeking a Ring Central Engineer to lead the design, migration, and support of our offices transitioning from traditional phone systems (POTS, PBX, or other VoIP platforms) to RingCentral's cloud-based communication system. As a RingCentral Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and supporting our enterprise-wide VoIP network. You will be responsible for migrating offices from legacy systems, ensuring multi-region fault tolerance, and providing top-tier support for RingCentral’s carrier-grade network.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design & Architecture: Perform design and architecture modeling for our RingCentral environment.
  • Office Migrations: Lead the migration of offices from POTS, PBX, and other phone systems to RingCentral Cloud Communications.
  • Network Resilience: Provide top-tier support for maintaining multi-region VoIP networks.
  • Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate third-party VoIP, voice, and video solutions to enhance RingCentral's product features.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct lab testing of new VoIP applications and call flows for troubleshooting and diagnosis of telephony issues.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop technical documentation and provide training on VoIP system operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Project Management: Work in an organized manner, managing and presenting your own projects to key stakeholders.
  • Occasional after hours support as needed.

 Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in VoIP engineering with a focus on RingCentral or similar cloud-based communication platforms.
  • Strong understanding of SIP, RTP, QoS, SBCs, and VoIP troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience with VoIP number porting, call routing, IVR, and auto-attendant configurations.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, BGP, and SD-WAN).
  • Ability to design and optimize large-scale VoIP networks with a focus on high availability and redundancy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ring Central certifications or VoIP-related certifications are a plus.

Position Base Pay Range
$80,000$90,000 USD

Clinical employees include dental assistants and staff assisting with actual direct treatment of patients. Non-clinical employees include the office manager, front desk staff, marketing staff, and any other staff providing administrative duties.
