Quality Inspector - Electromechanical - Level 2

• This position is a part-time, 1-month long contract position in which you will be part of a global inspection team assuring the quality of components and assemblies that this cloud services provider is sourcing from one or more suppliers in this area. Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client needs and each supplier’s production schedule.

• You will conduct inspection activities, including visual, physical, and dimensional inspections of machined and electro-mechanical parts according to client specifications. This includes:
• Incoming inspections from external providers (e.g., nickel plating).
• In-process and final inspections of critical features.
• Compiling final inspection sign-off sheets and reports.
• Verifying that inspection equipment can detect defects.
• Ensuring inspection methods align with drawing intent.
• Auditing and validating the inspection plan execution.
• Providing weekly reports on manufacturing progress, equipment quality, and delivery details.
• Conducting periodic quality audits of suppliers and reporting results.
• Driving closure of non-conformance findings and ensuring documentation of quality control system findings.
• Providing customer oversight during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and ensuring compliance before shipment.
• Acting as on-site support for the client.

• Electronics Packaging Experience is a Plus
• Physically able to kneel and/or climb a ladder if needed
• Prior inspection with electromechanical components, especially switchgears or anything data center related is preferred
• 6+ years of experience in the industry or equivalent
• Be able to read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards
