Manual QA Engineer (QA)

SquarePeg is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and innovative QA Engineer to join our talented team. As a QA Engineer at SquarePeg, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions in the accounting industry. You will work closely with our development teams to design and execute test plans, identify defects, and ensure that all software products meet the highest standards of quality before release. Your role will involve creating automated tests and participating in all phases of our development process, from requirement analysis to deployment. Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests to improve the efficiency of our testing processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand and clarify requirements.
• Execute manual testing for complex scenarios and provide detailed feedback.
• Identify and document defects and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in code reviews and provide input on design and implementation.
• Monitor and report on testing progress, and suggest improvements.
• Stay current with industry best practices in QA methodologies and tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in software testing.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
