Executive Support Team Lead

Stand Together’s Executive Assistant Center of Excellence (EA COE) is seeking a strategic and people-focused leader to oversee and develop a high-performing team of administrative professionals.  


In this role, you spend a portion of your time as an Executive Assistant providing strategic support to at least one leader in addition to leading and mentoring team of administrative professionals fostering professional growth, ensuring operational excellence, and driving alignment between administrative support and organizational priorities. As a leader you focus will be on talent development, team operations, and coaching—helping administrative professionals elevate their impact, navigate complex priorities, and support their leaders with excellence.   


How You Will Contribute
  • Team Leadership. Manage and mentor a team of administrative professionals, focusing on talent development and professional growth. Cultivate a collaborative, high-performing team environment that applies Stand Together’s management philosophy and encourages entrepreneurial thinking. 
  • Team operations and collaboration. Develop and implement streamlined processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to align administrative support with broader business objectives. 
  • EA Support. Provide executive support to one or more leaders which can include stepping in vacancies, executive transitions, shift in business needs, or urgent coverage needs. This may include calendar management, travel coordination, meeting preparation, and complex scheduling.  
  • Take ownership and contribute to team and organizational projects, as well as operational improvements, as needed
  • The role will be based in-person in the Ballston, VA office. 


What You Will Bring
  • Proven leadership experience (5+ years) with a focus on coaching, developing talent, and leading high-performing teams.  
  • Ability to assess, mentor, and grow administrative professionals to increase their impact and elevate executive support.  
  • Strong operational and problem-solving skills, with experience streamlining processes and improving efficiency.  
  • Strategic mindset in managing time and priorities, both for executives and for the team.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.  
  • EA experience, build and maintain a deep understanding of priorities to effectively allocate the leader's time. Prioritize a high volume of inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts for your team. Make judgements on time and recommendations grounded in strategic priorities to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements. 
  • Microsoft Office proficient: Word, Excel, Outlook (including expertise with Outlook’s calendar function), and PowerPoint.
