The Opportunity
Do you love social media, creating content, and connecting with families in your community? Are you looking to make a real impact this summer—while also gaining hands-on experience in digital marketing, customer service, and grassroots outreach?
Soccer Stars of South Denver is looking for a Digital Marketing & Community Engagement Intern to help us grow our online presence, connect with families, and share the joy of youth soccer with more kids across the Denver metro area. Bonus: if you want to get involved in our on-field programming, you’ll also have the opportunity to coach and earn even more this summer!
What You’ll Do
Marketing & Promotion
- Create and schedule content on Instagram and Facebook
- Use Canva or similar tools to design graphics for social and email marketing
- Post and manage listings on local parent-focused platforms (e.g., Macaroni Kid, KidsOutAndAbout)
- Conduct basic SEO research and help refine landing pages to increase reach
- Identify and connect with local influencers or parent groups for potential collaborations
Customer Engagement
- Make outgoing calls to follow up with families who’ve shown interest but haven’t registered
- Answer incoming calls and emails with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Help manage contact lists and send out branded email campaigns (via EMMA platform)
Operations & Community Outreach
Track registration trends and identify low-enrollment areas
Represent Soccer Stars at family events, demos, or marketing opportunities
Research new partnerships with local schools, rec centers, or businesses
About Soccer Stars of South Denver
We are part of Super Soccer Stars, one of the largest youth soccer enrichment programs in the country. Locally, we serve children aged 12 months to 10 years through daycares, preschools, schools, and public parks.
Our mission is simple:

- Inspire the next generation of soccer stars.
As part of our growing team, you’ll help share that mission with the world—both online and in person.
Optional Coaching Opportunity
Want to take your impact further? Interns also have the option to coach classes and summer camps for children aged 1–10 (we’ll provide training!).
- Coaching hours are paid separately at $18–25/hr depending on experience and role
- Flexible opportunities across weekday mornings, afternoons, and weekends
- A great resume builder for anyone pursuing early childhood education, PE, sports management, or recreation
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:
- Are a college student studying Marketing, Communications, Education, Sports Management, or a related field
- Have an enthusiastic and outgoing personality
- Love kids, soccer, or both
- Are organized, creative, and confident working independently
- Feel comfortable making and taking phone calls
- Have basic design and digital tools knowledge (Canva, Meta, Google Workspace)
