Project Manager, Business Operating Systems

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with the company’s Business Operating Systems strategy, commitments, and goals. 

Measures of success:

  • Facilitate and document process flow for selected divisions of Taco Family of Companies 
  • Set project deliverables and timelines for completion by department 
  • Track project performance  

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with Management and cross-functional teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, timing, and goals for new initiatives. 
  • Manage project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives. 
  • Set and manage internal stakeholder expectations. 
  • Create and maintain detailed project documentation. 
  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams. 
  • Work with other department managers and team leaders to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department. 
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome project risks, and produce project reports for management and stakeholders. 
  • Coach and mentor internal customers and stakeholders for skill and knowledge development. 
  • Assign actions and ensure completion for specific tasks and projects. 
  • Review work quality and provide feedback and guidance to internal teams. 
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed. 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or related field of study 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus 
  • 3+ years of project management and related experience  
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Visio  
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools (Microsoft Project a plus), methodologies, and best practices 
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and value stream mapping 
  • Experience in continuous improvement and/or process improvement  
  • Working knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management 
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle. 
  • Exceptional project leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills 
  • Proven experience in team management, process management and strategic execution 
  • Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes 
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and possess strong organizational and analytical and skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Work Environment

This position works primarily in an office environment using computers and technology. Verbal and auditory capability are requiredOccasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalentSafety gear is required in these areas. 

This position reports into the site every workday and may be able to work from home on an ad hoc basis. 

Management

This position has no direct reports.
