This exciting role focuses on new business development, targeting retailers and construction industry stakeholders across Northern NZ. About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and expanding market reach in Auckland and the wider North Island region.. Representing a respected brand, you will focus on generating new business by engaging retailers, building relationships, and showcasing cutting-edge tools.

Your role will be dynamic and diverse, involving cold calling, face-to-face client meetings, and equipment demonstrations. Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities and engage prospective customers.

  • Develop tailored proposals and close sales deals to meet business growth targets.
  • Utilize ERP systems and Excel for data management, sales tracking, and reporting.
  • Traveling throughout the wider Auckland region & Northern NZ to build a strong network and expand market reach.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, ideally in tools, or construction-related industries.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to conduct hands-on product demonstrations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel for managing data and creating reports.
  • A self-starter with a results-driven mindset and exceptional organisational skills.
  • A lifestyle conducive to frequent travel and the demands of an on-the-road role.
