Business Development Specialist (Inside Sales)

Overview:

The Business Development Specialist will play a critical role in driving our sales efforts through proactive phone outreach. This position involves identifying potential leads, setting appointments for our sales team, and nurturing relationships with prospects. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills and a passion for sales.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective clients to generate leads and set appointments for the sales team.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Qualify leads by understanding their needs and determining if they are a good fit for our products/services.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively communicate the value of our offerings to potential clients.
  • Use CRM software to track and manage leads, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets and expanding our client base.
  • Follow up with potential clients to nurture relationships and move them through the sales pipeline.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales or telemarketing role, preferably within a B2B environment.
  • Negotiation and/or closing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
