KSDK-TV is seeking a highly motivated Broadcast IT Specialist to join our Technology Team. This role will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the technical aspects of our station's operations, integrating both IT and broadcast technologies. The successful candidate will provide hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance for broadcast hardware, newsroom systems, and IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for News, Sales, Technology, and administrative teams. This position requires a strong technical background, customer service orientation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for end-users, including troubleshooting and instructing internal customers on hardware and software issues.
  • Support and maintain newsroom system technologies, including ENPS, BitCentral, graphics playout systems, and teleprompter systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Image and deploy computers and maintain mobile device systems.
  • Respond promptly to service ticket requests and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
  • Work with network switches, servers, storage systems, and security/virus protection software.
  • Collaborate effectively with all departments to ensure smooth technical operations.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to support 24/7 operations.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in a technology-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional broadcasting or IT environment.
  • Strong understanding of television broadcast workflow, newsroom systems, and production technologies.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
  • Certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
  • Must have network experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and adapt to evolving technology.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments.

Travel: Rarely (less than 10%).
