WCNC-TV is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Coordinator to manage general maintenance, repairs, and facility-related services across WCNC-owned properties. This role ensures that our facilities are safe, clean, and operating efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly to emergency building maintenance issues in our 24/7 broadcast environment.
• Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of facility interiors, including carpeting, paint, and other finishes.
• Coordinate with external vendors for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire and safety, and roofing services.
• Oversee landscaping and grounds maintenance contractors.
• Manage janitorial services and inventory of cleaning supplies as well as trash and recycling vendors.
• Liaise with vending service providers to ensure stocked and functional breakroom amenities.
• Perform basic handyman tasks such as touch-up painting, fixing leaky faucets, minor drywall repairs, hanging pictures, etc.
• Collaborate closely with a team of broadcast and IT engineers. The position will report directly to the Head of Technology and Operations.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• Strong follow-through and ability to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• Proven ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, vendors, and management.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
